In January 2024, we received a fundraising appeal from renowned social activist Bapak Imam B Prasodjo. The goal: to procure a locally crafted fodder chopper machine for Kampung Ilmu, Purwakarta (Jawa Barat). IDN Austin, along with ten other diasporas across the US, Canada, and Australia, collectively contributed Rp 23,500,000.- to Yayasan Nurani Dunia, significantly impacting the cause.
This machine is a product of grassroots innovation, highlighting the importance of supporting groups that drive rural business development, especially in livestock farming. We've seen the resilience of these groups firsthand as they learn and adapt to challenges. These community enterprises are key to skill development, employment, and local training.
Let's support these hardworking individuals who build self-reliance and sustainability within our nation.
